ok - same AIS "not being displayed on chart problem"
ais is on com 3
data can be seen comming in under AIS intruments NEMA0183 AIS - raw data
can see AIS date being shown in AIS 'panel'
but cannot get display on chart screen
any suggestions?

i have same problem - no AIS targets but can see NEMA AIS data
em-trak AIS com 5 via USB
tragets selected under 'display'

i agree we dont want to ignore them - being on the Solent some are genuine, many look like accidental - ie beacon has been set off, boat still in marina/moored
the issue is having to unlock/delete each time the alert signal has been recived, one i deleted this am had 20 alerts
open to suggestions

Unfortunately i sail mainly in the Solent (UK) and there are number numpties who keep setting off false "MOB messages"
now i agree we dont want to igore them, but is there a quck simple way to deactivate/delete the screen message??
currently i have to open the multiple MOB alerts, unlock, then delete... which is rather tedious when 1 'alert' can be 10+ messages on screen
help pls

am i correct you have put predict wind option back in - many thanks (was listening to Cambpell last last briefing on stmal o race and he was happily using it)

running Em-Track AIS with USB cable link to Del rough laptop
computor device manager and AISPro states it is using Com port 4
when i open Com port 4 in expedition instrumets it states
"AIS Tranciever Class B Trancier, Closed"
how do i open the port so AIS data is recieved (and diesplayed) in Expedition?

I use MailASail RedBox for linking the loptop (Del Rugged PC) to iridium to download. It worked fine using PredictWind option last year. now that has been discontinued i have moved to Squid
BUT now i am unable to get the link to work. it appears to do as before, but the RedBox auto-dial doesn't happen, hence i am unable to download weather data
Does anyone have experience using this set up to suggest what i am doing wrong
