I've recently bought the Actisense NGT-1 gateway but can't see it in Expedition4D. In fact, looks like it should appear under Instruments menu entry as shown here :
Note that the gateway works perfectly by sending/receiving data from NMEA using its software :
Also the version of Expedition4D I'm using is unlicensed at the moment.

That is a VERY old Expedition. Actisense no longer has a short-cut there.
If you go to the instruments interface (click the Instruments button), then select the serial port for the NGT-1, you should see NGT-1 as the only instrument type option.

This is the version I'm using :
Still can't see any instrument there :
Yet the NGT-1 is connected and works fine with the NMEA reader :

Click the Instruments button, not the menu on the right.

Nothing happens (?!) the menu closes that's it
Could it be because I'm running an unlicensed version?

Yes.

Yes - only licensed Expedition users get instruments.

Hello, I am having the same problem with Exp not reconizing the NGT-1. I do have a licensed copy.
Nick refers to "Click the instrument button not the menu on the right"
Do I need to install any additional software?

Can you see it in Windows' device manager?
What does it show on the relevant serial port page in Exp?
