Nick, Will a Navionics chart chip from a Raymarine Axiom work also?

The Exp connection page should be the first thing you check whenever you can't connect.

The drivers should be automatic. There may be a driver on the Actisense web site, but I have never needed one.

Thanks, Is the Exp connection page the drop down menu on the left labled Instruments? Or are you referring to the device manager page?

Can you see it in Windows' device manager?

What does it show on the relevant serial port page in Exp?

Thanks I will check for that when I get back to the boat. Is there software from the NGT-1 that need to on my PC for it to work? Or should it automatically recognize it?  I am hooked to to NEMA 2000 on a Vulcan 9 with no other processers.

Hello, I am having the same problem with Exp not reconizing the NGT-1. I do have a licensed copy.
Nick refers to "Click the instrument button not the menu on the right"
Do I need to install any additional software?

How are things working out with EDGE? We are thinking of adding one to our system.

In the past I used Real VNC to control my laptop running Exp. down below from my tablet on deck.
It worked great 90% of the time but froze once in a while.
I did not like Microsoft Remote Desktop because it shut off the screen down below when using.
Has anything better come along in the past few years that works better?

Yes, you can use (eg) an Actisene NGT-1 to connect to the NMEA 2000 network.

If you have an (eg) Edge processor, Exp can connect directly to that. I recommend an ethernet connection to it over wifi though.

Nick,Thanks, If i don't have the Edge processer will Expedition still work connected to NEMA 2000 with the Vulcan display?

I have a Vulcan dispay with a B&G Compass, GPS and wind but no processer.
Can I hook the laptop up thru NEMA 2000 to run Expediton?
If I do need a Processer will the Triton one work?
Thanks

I see you can get Sailflow buoys to show up on Exp now.
Do you have to have a paid subscription to SF?
How is the data received, I take it by cell connection?
Great Idea!
