Software Releases » COWES WEEK course import » 7/28/2025 10:31 am |
It has been a while since we have been to Cowes Week but are now planning for next week's regatta.
The courses used to be announced via text message and it was easy to put the course into Exoedition with the CW tool.
I understood that the announcements are made primarily via the CW App and no text messages are used nowadays (or are they??).
Is it still possible to use the CW tool in Expedition when the course is only anounced via the App?
Thanks for your advise
Mitch

I had the IENCs running on the latest version if Expedition (imstalled it on an earklier version) and wated to update the charts (I do this regugarly). I deleted the older charts , but I found out that it was unable to upload the new charts.
I normaly download the charts and then use the "search" function under the ENC menu and select the folder the charts are in. That doensn't work anymore, so it seems.
I particular use the Dutch Rijkswatersaat ENCs (Zeeland area):
Thanks

Hi,
I updated to newest version of Exoedition and it seems that is not possible to install Inland ENC charts.
Does it have to do with the later versions or could it be something else?
Thanks

Software Releases » v12.1.13 - Unable to install » 1/06/2025 10:42 am |
Hi ,
By opening V12.1.10. I got the message that the magnetic variation model is out of date.
So I downloaded V12.1.13 (4D).
It is running the install file but the new version is not installed for some reason.
Try to restart, etc but the old version remains the one that is installed
And the magnetic variation model message is still there.
Is there anything I should do to solve this?
Thanks

Hi, I noticed that in the new version it is less straight forward to assign a mark as "Round to port/ starbord, gate", etc.
Right mouse clicking sometimes (not always...) denies you the option to assign
Only in the mark management menu it is possible to assign.
And (sometimes) on the chart the mark turns red when assigned "round to port" (as it was in older versions), but also somitimes not...
Furthermore the difference is that the marke numbering keeps adding up, in older version all new marks starteted at mark 1. (this is not an issue, but a difference to the old version).
The first issue, though, would be nice to see fixed....it might also affect routing, but I did not check that.
Thanks
Mitch

Squid download actually works well, thank you.
But another source ( ) doesn't.
Must be a KNMI thing then, but the downloded grib file through Expediton (My grib) does work in Qtvlm for exemple.

I dont know if it is a version issue but there seem to be a bug in the weather file section: It isn't possible to show or use grib giles of (especially) the Harmony Model (North Sea/ Holland reagion). I tried other models and they don't seem to have the same problem.
It is possible to download and the grib files and they are actually shown in the list of grib files, but is is then impossible to "tick" the box to make them active. Again, it specifically seems to be a problem with the Harmony model (which I use a lot....) and not other models
The grinb files aren't corrupt or anything, the are usable in other Navigation software programs.
Thaks for your help.
