Hello,
not directly an Expedition question, I hope it's okay.
When you are going to race in an (at least for you) new area. How do you gather information and local knowledge?
What are good sources?
I have not found much information in the internet.
Thanks in advance

One thing you can do is run routes with and without currents turned on;you'll see where the currents are most important.
Run routing under various wind conditions using real fcast winds or simulated wind conditions
Compare various wind forecast models to see which are best for that area
Good luck,
Ernie

Most people I know keep a playbook of the various race areas.
Find one of those people ...

Thanks. Do you, maybe have an example, of what such a playbook could look like?
I assume there are not many to find free on the internet?
