NX2 FDX connection - No boat fix
I'm unable to get my boat position from my NX2 FDX instrument connection. When I try to connect (shift-Instruments) my enabled secondary connection from NX2 (Com 7 for example) does not show up. Please note that I had found online a couple of years back a series of keystrokes in expedition that would allow me to enter this manually. But unfortunately I have forgotten them. Knowing my secondary com port number I would go system, shift- instruments and then this other combination key stroke to manually add the com port. Does anyone know this trick?

Ctrl-I is a keyboard shortcut for the Instruments button on the menu at the top left of Exp.
The available serial and network ports will be displayed.
Note that you have to select which port to expect GPS data from.

Hi Nick, I get that far but my virtual com port doesn't show up. For example I get 5 and 9 and they both say closed but the virtual port is on 8. Someone has supplied a series of keystrokes that I could enter that I could manual add my virtual port once I'm in that dialog box.

If this is from the Nexus software, you need to start Exp after it as it doesn't broadcast that there is a new port.

I always start NX2 first.
