I am using a Lenovo T460s laptop with 20GB memory and a 500 GB SSD running Windows 10 Pro. All software and drivers are up to date.
I am running Expedition 4D version 11.15.20 on my laptop.
I went through Expedition to update my C-Map 4D chart.
from: EW-D277.51 North-West European Coasts
to: EW-D277.52 North-West European Coasts
I believe the download process worked since I can see both ED-D277.51 and EW-D277.52 in the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\C-MAP\MapsManager\CHARTS\EW-D227
Now when I start Expedition I always receive the C-Map chart warning telling me I should update my chart.
I have also noticed that I cannot view the Chart Details for the C-Map chart but I can view the Chart Details of the World chart.
Since I cannot see Chart Details I think Expedition is still using the old version of the chart.
How can I get expedition to recognize the updated chart?
Any and all help is appreciated,
Chip

Do they appear correct in the C-Map My Maps?

Yes, I believe they show correctly.
I used Expedition > C-Map > My Maps to download the update from "On the Cloud" at the top.
The download completed without errors.
My Maps shows EW-D227 - North-West European Coasts "On the Device" and "Ready" but it does not say it it is the EW-D227.51 or EW-D227.52 version.
In the folder for the C-Maps (C:\ProgramData\C-MAP\MapsManager\CHARTS\EW-D227) I see files with both versions of EW-D227.
EWD22751.pcl
EWD22751-V001.MRC
EWD22751-V002.MRC
EWD22751-V003.MRC
EWD22751-V004.MRC
EWD22751-V005.MRC
EWD22752.pcl
EWD22752-V001.MRC
EWD22752-V002.MRC
EWD22752-V003.MRC
EWD22752-V004.MRC
EWD22752-V005.MRC
Any ideas?

I think I have the same issue.

Whenever I have a problem and I'm not on mobile or satilite data I just remove all 4D and MapManager and start over clean.

Hi,
Just to be sure of what you are saying.
1. remove the C-Map files. From C-Map Map Manager or just from the folder?
2. uninstall C-Map Map Manger
3. install C-Map Manager
4. Install C-Map chart files using C-Map Map Manager.
Do I have it correct?
Strange that updating a C-Map chart from C-Map will mess up C-Map.
Do you think this is a C-Map or Expedition problem?

From your process --- that is more or less what I'm saying.
I've had the update work and I've had it not work. Most of the time the updates work OK but once or twice I've had problems on the 2 machines I use 4D on.
I'm not sure... I don't know enough about how 4D map manager and Exp communicate. Being a SW eng I can come up with ways it could go either way.

Exp doesn't really communicate with Maps manager. It is just a web interface provided by C-Map.
All the rendering etc is then done in a dll provide by C-Map.

This worked for me. I deleted the files then uninstalled the manager.
After re-installing and re-downloading the maps the error went away

Also see the Expedition help on 4D charting. There is a section at the bottom for dealing with corrupted 4D charts, although a different error.
