DC power supplies for consumer laptops aboard

Folks. With no inverter aboard, what's this group liking for DC laptop power supplies?  Cheers

Yes, avoid inverters.

A car adaptor or similar is one solution.

I carry a multiple inexpensive car laptop adapters per laptop in case one goes down.
When I have the control on a given boat - I run a dedicated 12v line from the battery or power bus for the laptops on it's own fuses.

I've permanently wired in a dc-dc converter delivering a suitable voltage. It works well.

If you can, use an OEM dc power supply, as some generic ones just power the laptop, not actually charge the battery. 

Else use a quality unit like those from Lind.
