We currently have 3 access points onboard our Beneteau that we possibly can use, but need guidance on the ideal means to go about the connection. There is an older Raymarine e120 system, a newer AMEC b600w WiFi AIS system, and a newer Furuno TZT3 display with NXT radar on the vessel. We currently have a wireless connection directly to the AIS for the position and AIS target data to the Expedition software, but the AMEC does not resend the N2k backbone data. We would like to attach to the Furuno network which is connected by ethernet through a MoFi4500 wireless router, with the hopes that the Furuno would rebroadcast the NMEA 2000 data to our laptop. We can connect to both the Raymarine directly or the Furuno (through the router) with a static IP, but can not get the information either. What would you believe is the preferred connection to get all the NMEA2000 information to our laptop? Thank you in advance!
