I have a iKonvert feeding my boat PC via USB
What is the best mode to set the iKonvert to, NMEA 0183 or 2000?
What are the correct settings in expedition?
Thanks

If you can use NMEA 2000, then that would be better and faster.
Digital Yacht says their RAW data format is compatible with Exp. I have ordered a iKonvert to test, but freight is very slow down-under at present. Everyone seems to have covid.

Interesting
what would the instrument configuration settings look like?

Try the Yacht Devices option. It may be the same.

Update. My iKonvert arrived.
It seems I need to get Exp to tell it to send NMEA 2000 RAW data. It can't be too hard.
It also needs the dip switches changed from the default NMEA 0183 to RAW mode.

Isn't Actisense Ascii output actually NMEA2000 RAW data?

Yes, but the NMEA 2000 data packets are encapsulated in different ways, depending on the device.
Have Rx working for the iKonvert now, will (hopefully) look at Tx today.

Can you share the Rx settings on here?

Just select Digital Yacht RAW as the instrument type in Exp.
You need to set the iKonvert DIP switches as per the manual.
