    importing position reports as .csv files.

    In a recent race the OA was sending daily 0800 reports as an excel file. Upon trying to import to Exp I got/get "unable to open boat id file".

    Clearly I am missing a step somewhere. I tried importing as .txt instead with the same result. 

    What am I missing?

    There are no supported Excel file formats.

    Have you seen the Exp help on supported position report formats?

    Nick, Thanks for the response.

    This is what I found. "ImportImport positions from a file. Several formats are supported, selected from the drop-list.Any position report file can also be imported by dragging it onto the race tracking window."

    No joy for me.

    Ok. So, different take on the original question. What is the appropriate file/format to import daily position reports?
