Is C-Map really worth the Money?

Hi Guys,
I am somewhat new to Expedition. We will be racing our new J/121 on the East Coast (USA), mostly from SC - FL. I have downloaded all of the appicable RNC/ENC for our area. Is C-Map worth adding as well?

Re: Is C-Map really worth the Money?

In the US -- I only us the ENC/RNC --- internationally I use CMap4D.

So far I'm really happy with CMap4D in the UK/Europe but it doesn't offer much over what I get from the ENC/RNC. Most of the VAD (Value Add Data) features are available other ways in the US.

Do note the RNCs will not be updated starting soon.

But that's just my £0.02...

As Sparky flags not much difference with regards to the US but one thing I do find useful is the 3D feature

Re: Is C-Map really worth the Money?

I find the ENC very difficult to use.

RNC are fine, but I prefer C-map. I often switch back and forth between RNC and C-map if there is something i am not sure about. It's helpful to have two views.

Re: Is C-Map really worth the Money?

It would have been nice to be able to have a C-Map and RNC or ENC side-by-side display option, but the C-Map licensing doesn't allow that.
