    What is the difference between the JSON and the XML files when downloading the position reports?

    There are 3 options.

    The Expedition compact format is a single position. It is a much smaller download.

    The XML and JSON files contain the same data.

    The XML is an older format, retained for legacy purposes. Occasionally it has formatting issues, but YB isn't going to fix it.

    The JSON file is their current format.
