    Optimal route only shows rhumb line

    No matter what I do, optimal routing solution always follows route marks exactly, even if it means sailing apparent wind angles below 10. I have checked boat polars which look accurate.

    I have been going through the North U 101 Webinar,  so don't know if I changed something while doing that?

    I haven't been able to find answer by searching forum.

    Have you selected 'Optimise along great circle' ?

    Yes,  that was selected. Back to normal now that it is off- thanks.

    Why does that happen with great circle route selected?

    It is there in case you want to sail along the great circle. A delivery motor-sailing would be one scenario.

    Start with the really obvious - once you know - have you selected passing sides for your marks, or are they all set to "Sail to mark", which is the default.
