Restore charts
1. On restoring the system from scratch, how do I re-install the C-map charts? I used to be able to access them from the hard disk without the dongle, which lives on the boat.
2. How do I update the c-map charts?
3. How do you instal other charts, NV Verlag or visitmyharbour?

I presume you mean C-Map MAX given you mention a dongle.
For MAX, it is done with NT Selector. It is worth reading the Exp help and (especially) the NT Selector help.

Can someone hummor me with an idiots guide to how to restore the C Map Max charts.
I have expedition installed and a dongle.
The chart file is on the hard drive but I cannot for the life of me get them displayed.

I presume you used NT Selector to install the chart? Just asking as someone just copied the files recently and obviously that didn't work.

You need to get the CD selector which its the same version than the one you had before, Then reinstall from there. The program has an option to download the code from dongle....
