Loosing USB Instrument Feed

Ver. 10.10.11.  Using Actisense to access instrument data.
When computer goes to sleep and then is reawaken the instrument data is no longer available.
Hitting "Reconnect to network" does not help.  Besides the obvious, unplugging/plugging USB, is there another way within the program or is this more likely a windows usb driver issue?

Thanks

Re: Loosing USB Instrument Feed

One solution would be to tell the computer not to go to sleep.

Re: Loosing USB Instrument Feed

Skipper clarified this only started happening after the upgrade to 10.10.11
Restarting Expedition restablishes the connection.

Re: Loosing USB Instrument Feed

I am having a similar problem with the NGT-1. If the connection is lost for whatever reason even with the computer not sleeping then Expedition doesn't re-connect. Actisense are in beta version for Actipatch NGT-1-USB-v2.680. The USB light flashes when trying to reconnect but the re-connection fails., I found that by setting the NGT-1 COM port to "None" and applying, then setting the NGT-1 COM port back to NGT-1 and applying the connection is re-established without having to shut down/restart Expedition.

Re: Loosing USB Instrument Feed

You might also disable all USB power management. There are a lot of USB devices out there (and host chipsets) that don't do USB power management correctly...

Power Options -> Change Plan Settings ->Change Advanced Plan Settings -> USB Settings -> USB Selective Suspend -> disable on both battery and plugged in...

Also in Device Manager: Power Tab on the properties of the device in question: Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power to off (or unselected).
