I have heard of Avast blocking the Microsoft redistributable before. Try disabling Avast.

I had a similar issue over the weekend on the boat with a slow network cx. On closer examination my downloaded file was about a third of the expected (66Mb) size. Whilst it executed and started the installer (and had downloaded using Win10's default browser without any errors) there were clearly lumps missing. On returning home I downloaded a full 66Mb version of the file at the first attempt and all went well - except for needing a new license code, which Nick supplied.

Unfortunately, the Wix installer doesn't warn if it is a partial download.

I took the blank scripts from the package and tried that with the new setup shortcut and alls well again.
Weird though, I never used the old Dat files when I tried a new install, only used the script text files I had to make new Dat files.
The Room Editor never stops to amaze us
Thanks a bunch for the support Nadine.
