ShipModul Multiplex-3: not sending wind data

I'm on a boat that has an H5000 Herc system.
The data to Expedition is NMEA 0183 over wifi via a ShipModul Multiplex 3
In Expedition, I am getting: Position, BSP, HDG, TWS, Baro.., but not TWD, TWA, or AWA
In Expedition "Sentences to receive", everything is selected.
I have only one network configured, and AIS is coming in as well.
I have not used a ShipModul before - is this a problem with how it was configured.., could it be that it was not set up to send those wind sentences?
How should  I get  the other wind  numbers  - TWD, TWA, and AWA  - into expedition?
I've attached a sample of the raw data from expedition

Re: ShipModul Multiplex-3: not sending wind data

The wind data you are missing in Expedition is coming from the NMEA sentences MWD and MWV.
Check in the Shipmodule config if these sentences are either filtered out,  or not explicitly included in the direction of input data to an output.
The shipmodule manual is quit good and contains examples of how to do this.
Using the Shipmodule software you can also monitor each input of the MUX,  so that allows you to check if the MWD and  MWV arrive at the MUX from your H5000 in the first place.

Re: ShipModul Multiplex-3: not sending wind data

Yes, there isn't much data in there.

The best solution would be a wifi connection directly to the H5000 Websocket.

Re: ShipModul Multiplex-3: not sending wind data

After working on it with the installer (this is a new boat).., we never got the NMEA issue figured out - it appears that the multiplexer is sending all the sentences, and a network tool showed them all coming into the laptop over the network. It just seems that for some reason they are not getting into expedition. The mutiplexer is also converting H5000 NMEA 2000 to NMEA 0183.., and i'm not much of a NMEA expert - but maybe there is an issue with the way the 0183 sentences are formatted...

This boat does not have a wifi-1/GoFree.., so it is not possible to do a wifi connection to the H5000 - as is typically done. the only wifi device is the multiplexer  - but you can't get to the H5000 through that.

It turns out that the ethernet out from the H5000 CPU goes to a (non-wifi) router, so i could get the websocket connection with ethernet from the router to the laptop.

So, I have a working websocket connection.., but it would be nice to also have the 0183 connection with the multiplexer working also.
