    How does Expedition uses GMM versus Instrument data

    With the update of the GMM in Expedition I was wondering when Exp uses the GMM to calculate magnetic variation and do conversions between (e.g. HDG/HDG Mag,   COG/COG M etc) and when it uses the variation data that comes from the instruments.

    Exp stores everything internally in magnetic. If you decide to show a variable in true, it applies the variation from the WMM to that.
    Exp ignores any variation from the instruments.
