Hmm... Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do you stop navigating a route? (Opposite of 'Set Active' in the Marks window).
Never really thought about it in the past...simply ignored...but someone asked me.

I have always had an empty route ( named empty ) and just set it active

Yes - This works! Never thought of this.
Still interested to know if there was a 'correct' way to do this.

On the Marks tab click Visual Marks
then click OK
then hit ESC
you're done
That's the 'correct' way imho :-))

Ingenious!
As mentioned, there is still a residue left with this method.
Both techniques serve the purpose though!
Thanks!

Nice. 'Clear Active' feature implemented in v10.9.4!
That's awesome.
Thanks.
(Did the 'Set Active' feature change in the process?
To 'set active' we need to select a way point in a route. Could we 'Set Active' by pressing the un-expanded Route Name before? Or was it always like this?
It's such a minor issue, so no changes required, but just curious.)

Looking at it, it may have aways been that way. If you select a mark in a route, it activates the route and sets that mark as the active route.
Have added a mode where if you select the route and not a mark in it, it will activate the route and set the first mark as active.
