yb tracker short code import

Hello:

I am tracking the Vic Maui race as a test.  I have the boats set up including a reference boat which I created using the yb tracking option at first using a high speed connection.

When I attempt to import position reports via the y/b short code link I get an "unable to open boat id file" error message.

What is the code you are using for the race?

http://yb.tl/vicmaui2018-boatsid.txt
http://yb.tl/vicmaui2018-expedition.txt

When I open the files in Notepad, they appear to be correct.  Someone on the forum in an older post suggested that both files had to be in the same folder.  I have them both in the same folder on my desktop.

I cant import the boat ids file into Expedition.

When I use the regular YB tracking feature in Exp and the code vicmaui2018, the boat id's load fine as a starting point, I set a reference boat and they display on the schedule.  However, when I try to import position file via the above I get the boat id error message and can't update.

Re: yb tracker short code import

It works as expected here. make sure you select Expedition as the format type and then select the vicmaui2018-expedition.txt file.

You don't import the boat id file. Exp does that automatically.

Of course, it is easier just to enter vicmaui2018 in Exp's YB Tracking interface.
