Bow to GPS

I take it the position of the GPS in the boat is the dot on the back of the boat icon? In other words, Bow to GPS does not shift the nominal position of the GPS, and there is no setting that would move the nominal GPS position?

The boat will be drawn at the relevant place around the GPS dot. It is a combination of boat length and bow to GPS measurements.

I think what you are telling me is that, whatever the boat length and bow to GPS measurements are, the location of the GPS (and therefore the boat track in the logfile) will not change?

Yes, the track is drawn at the GPS location.
