    Extend current in time

    Nick, one for you.  Wind and pressure forecasts are now extending in time.  Current forecasts are not.  So to run an early optimal routing, I tick "Extend current in time".
    But how does Expedition represent that time extension?  Some currents follow a cycle, 12 or 24 hours, in which case a cyclical extension would work, but more than a few follow a more random pattern.
    How does it work?

    It just assumes the last time field is valid for ever.

    ​So if you have currents for midday today, they would also be used for Hobart 2023,

    OK, constant value.  Could one impose a cyclical pattern on the extension?  Just an idea!
