    Optimised tracks not rounding leeward mark

    Morning all, I've not seen this before ....
    I'm running a coastal race route, about 60 miles there and back.  The leeward mark is an island, so I have a pair of marks "Island In" and "Island Out", maybe 0.3 mile apart.
    The optimised courses (4) don't observe the island marks at all, doing dramatic turns maybe 5 miles beforehand, on what looks to be a PredictWind grib area boundary.  I have weather in that grib area.
    Extend wind in time changes nothing.  Saildocs GFS as a grib source has the same issue.

    If it is out and return, don't leave it to port or starboard ...

    OK NIck, worked just fine when the two leeward marks set to "Sail to".  But why?  And I've navigated that race maybe 6 times before, and not encountered the problem before?
