Best way to determine sailing angles for maximum VMG performance
Trying to determine the best angles to sail upwind and downwind to achieve maximum VMG.
To do this I have set up a strip chart recording VMG, TWA, HDG, BSP TWA TWS and when I save this and then import the log file to excel to analysis our performance (new boat building a polar table) VMG is not shown as a data field. There are lots of fields but no VMG. Is this a setting I am missing.
Is there a better way to record data to determine best sailing angles to determine maximum VMG?

Hello,
It should be available with the Extract log data function on the Tools panel.
Have a look at the Edit polars interface. You can display tests or import log file data to these.
Btw, Exp saves the data, not stripchart unless you are using stripchart to save tests.
