    using Expedition to calculate calibrated TWA/TWD and send it back

    Hi everyone,

    After sailing with the H5000 for quite some time, I’d like to overcome some of its calibration limitations.

    I’m thinking about having Expedition calculate and calibrate TWA and TWD, then send them back into the system so they can be displayed on the instruments.

    I’d like to ask if anyone has ever tried doing this, whether you think it makes sense, and whether the possible delay would be acceptable.

    The H5000 should be better - it has access to the original data in a more timely manner.

    The Exp options were really only added for cases where it can't be done in the instruments.
