I ran a few optimal routes with grid method, with and without the Optimize Great Circle option. With it enabled it sticks to the great circle rhumbline and doesn't seem to be influenced by wind or current inputs. The Brg*M proceeds a degree every few routing steps. That is helpful to identify the shortest great circle path is. Is that the intent of the feature?
