Expedition X 12.7.16 hangs on C Map initialisation
Hi,
Was working fine, but today started hanging with an Application Not Responding message in the tittle bar. Tried system restore (with the application shut down) resting the display states and CMAP registry keys.

What sort of C-map charting?

You could install (eg) the Navionics version and see if that works. It would help determine if it is in C-Map or something after.

C-Map 4D still works fine, and the C-Map chart updater can access and update the charts.
The log_system file contains rather like this:
12:08:58 : Socket: 10057: A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket using a sendto call) no address was supplied.
12:08:59 : C-MapX registration error 502

Maybe switch the 4D version to the Exp world chart (not C-Map) before exit.
Then Exp X will be forced to log in to C-Map X when you run it again. There is also an option in C-Map settings to force that.

Thanks switching to the world map in 4D fixed it. I'd started 4D the other day by accident - my pinned icon on the taskbar seems to revert to 4D despite my best efforts to persuade it otherwise!
