    Expedition 12.7.2

    Hi Nick,

    I updated to 12.7 yesterday, and during startup it would freeze on “initializing instrument.” Today I updated to 12.7.2, and it still keeps freezing.

    I also tried System Restore, but it didn’t help.

    Which Expedition? Which charts are you using?

    Which Expedition System Restore options did you select?

    If that doesn’t help, you could try deleting/moving the Exp data folder.

    ARM link fixed. We are making progress on Actisense support on ARM, but their SDK still has an issue.

    I hear someone else with this problem deleted the data folder and that may have solved the problem.

    I would probably just move the folder rather than deleting it so you don't lose the data.

    I have also heard of cases where you need to install Expedition as an administrator.

    I moved the Expedition Program Data folder and it worked — the program started. I copied it back to its original location, and it freezes again on “Initializing Instrument.”

    I tried deleting the Instrument folder from Program Data, but that didn’t help.

    I also tried running it as administrator, but that didn’t help either.

    Does it freeze if you have an empty data folder, but with the licence file in it?

    It might be easier to email me..

    I have the same problem as iurban, freezing and “initializing instrument" however I'm uncertain of which folder to remove should I remove the complete "Expedition" folder under  ProgramData?
