    Using Expedition with Garmin chartplotter (Wireless)

    I have searched through the forum and the most recent thread related to wireless network connections is from 2015. Can Expedition receive NMEA data wirelessly from a recent Garmin chartplotter? If so, what is the simplest way to do so? TIA for any and all assistance.

    If it can send NMEA 0183 over Wifi, Exp can connect to that and use it.

    Just make a NMEA 0183 network connection to the port. Also see the Exp help.

    Steve, if you are successful, would be interested in hearing about it.  Been a couple of years since I dug into this with a Garmin chartplotter, but recall its WiFi was limited and did not support sending NMEA data.
    There is an ethernet ( wired ) connection on the back of the plotter as well, same limitation.
