NGT-1 on Win11Arm with Exp

I'm having trouble after an emergency upgrade to a NGT-1.

My previous USB/NMEA interface was dead when I got to the boat this morning to start race prep.
I was able to source an NGT-1. After some work I was able to get the drivers installed and get it working with Actisense tools and NMEA Reader.

However, Expeadition only shows the port as closed. I have reboot several times but nothing has worked!

HELP!

Re: NGT-1 on Win11Arm with Exp

It seems to be a ExpArm issue. I installed the Navionics x64 build and that was able to open the com port.

Actisense doesn't have an ARM64 DLL.

I have asked, but ...

The best solution for ARM is a Digital Yacht iKonvert.

Re: NGT-1 on Win11Arm with Exp

Thanks - I was able to race running he x64 version of Exp to use NGT-1 for the fastnet.
However, some of the insturments weren't reporting to expedition correctly --- the most anoying was the BSP was roughly 80%.
I don't know if this was an artifact of running the x64 in an emulated environment or if it is an NGT-1 issue or an issue on our mostly B&G NMEA2k setup.

Re: NGT-1 on Win11Arm with Exp

Unless you have calibration set in Exp, the bsp will be the value being received from the network.

If you have multiple sensors, you need to select the correct one.

Re: NGT-1 on Win11Arm with Exp

I installed a Actisense NGX-1 on a Surface Pro laptop with ARM processor. On the ARM version of Expedition it will not open the port.

On the normal version of Expedition it will open the port but I do not see any data flowing.

I am wundering how to resolve this.  Is it better to go to the wifi version  like the WGX-1 or the W2K-2?

I have a H5000 setup and a Garmin Cortex VHF/AIS. The Surface is connected via an wired ethernet port as I believe wired is always best.

The main use for the Actisense is to send custom data to the Garmin GNX masthead units as well as navdata and to receive AIS info into expedition. All other data goes over Ethernet to the websocket of H5000.

I am looking for ideas?
