Error message: unable to open Pol4 polar
I'm getting this message: unable to open Pol4 polar with 2 choices and neither does anything. Expedition won't open. I have to go to task manager to shut down Expediiton. Yesterday I entered new polars from US Sailing, everything worked and today the message. I have rebooted and tried many times to launch Expedition. What should I try next?

Nick,
Below is a link to the polars. Pol4 is one of the tabs within Expedition. I uploaded the polars to all the tabs within the polar section. I have recieved an error messge in the past whenever I haven't done that. Error message now says unable to open Perf Folder.

Thanks. The custom polars should be Pol0 to Pol3 I think.
That polar seems ok here.
The easiest solution might be to use the Expedition System Retsore app, although you will lose your various settings.

Nick, The boat computer doesn't have the new polar chart loaded, so it's still working. I'm planning on running the restore as suggested on the 2nd computer we run. Can I download settings from the boat computer and then load them into the 2nd one? I'll just need to re-construct my recent setting changes in both. Does the help section outline how to download them? Thanks

You can save settings from the menu at the top left.
Whether they can be used on the other ocmputer depends on whether the ports etc are the same.

How do i restore? I'm in Expediton restore, but it doesn't go beyond asking me to delete setttings. If i check all of them or uncheck all of them, nothing happens.

You need to have all other Exp apps closed.
It just lets you delete settings so Exp can re-create them when next run.
