    Version 12.4.2 C-MAP 4D Charting Issues & Options

    I've being having issues with C-MAP 4D charts not displaying when Expedition is first launched.  I just downloaded 12.4.2 and it seems to have been fixed, so just wanted to confirm that that issue had been reported and fixed.

    I also noticed there is a note about C-MAP 4D becoming end of life in 2028.  I have noticed some differences in accuracy between C-MAP and Navionics when on the boat (our Raymarine system uses Navionics), so was thinking about switching over. 

    So, I have two questions for Nick:

    - Is the long term strategy to move from C-MAP to Navionics?
    - Is it possible to run Expedition and Expedition 4D on the same computer so I can see the difference?

    The C-Map MAX and 4D products are both nearing end of life as noted on the Exp web site.

    Expedition MAX support will cease a lot earlier because the 32 bit aspect precludes planned development. NT+/MAX is almost 3 decades old!

    You can't run two Expeditions at the same time.

    Hello.  I am experiencing an issue on opening expedition where it is trying to "Initialise C-Map" and then Expedition locks completely on startup.

    It's a newer instal, and is 4D 12.4

    Any advise or do I need to uninstall and reinstall?

    Please let me know if there are similar experiences or solutions.
