Hi all,
First, Nick, as always nice job with the new version. The routing really works in my local area and is keeping up with the the other tools out there. I do have a question this chart position stickyness on startup. As always it probably me that has the problem I’ve noticed that every time I open Expedition when not connected to the boat, the chart zoom level and position are can be random at times. I’m using the base ENC charts, and I’ve looked through other posts on the forum but haven’t found a clear answer. I did see a post from 2016 but with the multiple version upgrades it didn't seem relevant. Is this behavior related to when the charts initialize? Maybe it has something to do with what loads into memory first? Just trying to understand why it doesn’t default to a consistent view or last-used chart state.
Once again there is probably something I am not doing right. Appreciate any insights—thanks!

Thanks.
I am not sure what would cause that - it seems ok here.
Which type of Expedition?
Btw, the next update for Exp is a lot faster with ENCs.

I was running 12.2.3. I am going to go home and get the new version to see if it is still an issue. Quicker with ENCs is going to be amazing!
Nice on getting ARM64 version up and going, I just got a new Surface device and I have been wanting to try it out.
Keep at it my friend!

Yesssssssssss! the new version works great with ENCs, and there is no more issue with location stickyness.

Ha. I have always experienced same with ENC - never knowing where I will arrive upon executing Expedition - it's always relatively close, but unusual zooms, or fair amount off. Happened today again, but I'm still on 12.2.1 lets see; i'll update

hmm, still opens at different zoom from app close; but location seems same, which wasn't always the case - this is a very small sample size i should say

It should open in the same location. Any chart opened will default to the 1:1 scaling factor.

copy. this perhaps sometimes leads to impression of different location on open, if closed quite zoomed out, looking at a side of the view, but centered elsewhere (though i have previously had some wild ones, but not for quite some time, and might be something i've done)
