May as well revive this thread....

Its spring in the UK so coming out of boat re- building and hibernation mode and thinking about racing.....

Sailproof is android only -- Mesa seems to be running windows 10 which dies this year..... any clues as to what tablet to buy please?

Mesa 4 and Mesa pro are windows 11.
Still the best options I have found

I recently bought an 11" ipad pro M4.

It's very bright.

So far, I have only used it with ipad apps for cruising and recreational sailing. I haven't done any remote display of expedition, but because it is quite readable, I will probably give it a go.

The problem I have had with iPad and Mac running Microsoft Remote Desktop (in it's various names and flavours) is it crashes if trying to use 4D maps of any type. The base expedition charts are fine and so far the Navionics are fine but the 4Ds cause Expedition to crash when I select the 4D charts.

4D is the only thing in Exp that uses OpenGL, so it may be related to that.
