Expedition with new Hercules processer

We presently run Expedition hooked to NEMA 2000 with a Actisense USB converter. We do not have a processer.
We are adding a new Hurcules processer. What is the best way to connect a PC running Expedition to the Hurcules?
Thanks

Re: Expedition with new Hercules processer

The best way to connect to B&G Hercules is with the websocket.

It can be a good idea to keep the GPS and AIS feeds from the NMEA 2000 connection.

Re: Expedition with new Hercules processer

Ok, Thanks. So i should hook the laptop to both the Actisense USB and the Websocket in the B&G Hurcules to be able to split the input? Expediton will reconize both at the same time?

Re: Expedition with new Hercules processer

IMHO, the best way is using websockets by far as it is native. If you use NMEA2K you will miss a lot of the perf data coming out of the Hercules via the websocket, that does not get into the N2K bus.

Re: Expedition with new Hercules processer

Is there any advantage to load polars into the Hurcules?  I assume Exp uses the polars to loaded into Exp for all caculations inside of Exp?
