I assume you are referring to the 'optimal2.dat' file.  I checked that box and exited Exp, and that file appeared.  Looks to be ~22MB.   You can find it here:

My Expedition didn't like that file.

Have you thought about installing the latest Expedition release? Your install is rather old.

Nick --  I installed the latest version and that solved THAT problem, but seems to have created others.  I am always apprehensive about installing new and improved versions of anything as that often leads to new problems :-(

The play button on the weather ribbon does not automatically advance time.  Also, there used to be a button on the weather ribbon that aligned the time to the start time of the simulation.  That is no long there.  Seems like that was a nice feature not sure why you eliminated it :-(.

I guess you are talking about the 'start' button on the optimal ribbon, that works.  Play still does not work up here.... is there a setting somewhere that I need to toggle?
