    Yes, Exp connects directly to the B&G websocket.

    As always, a wired connection is preferred over Wifi.

    my 2cents. I have been using the YWDG-2 for 5+ years and I find it very stable.  
    I have had to reboot it on occasion but very rarely. I have both Expedition and Navionics on my Ipad connect to it.
