I am trying to do a routing with with involves going thru a tight passage channel. The course is a complete circle with a couple of waypoints . You can run the coarse clockwise or counter clockwise, skippers choice. I am trying to determine which was is fastest.
I have tried avoid land but that does not work. I am trying to use race notes but cant get them show up. In the past I was a able to draw a red box around the areas but now i click on notes and nothing shows. Can Expedition do this type of routing? Any help?
Thanks!

Not that this is helpful --- but
In tight areas where data is not well modelled the results may or may not be useful...
Having said that --- I have done what you are trying to do. You have to set a very high resolution to get through tight areas.

Thanks, I got it to work somewhat. Can you define what high resolution is?
I am getting an error message when i use tacks and jibes. Cannot find much documentation on this.
Thanks for the help.

Yes, the coarse avoid land options may not be suitable for very small scale routing. Exp can use ENCs for that as well as race notes.
There is an option to draw race notes or not.
In this case I would generally not have the tack/gybve option selected (or just use the TG button) as the restrictions may not allow Exp to get through obstacles.
