Using the B&G Websocket I have connected Expedition to a Zeus3 plotter and H5000 system through the Zeus3 Wifi network and I am receiving all data in Expedition except position. GPS is ticked to be received through the Network 0 Websocket. The Zeus3 is using its internal GPS for position.
A possibly related issue is that I can't access the H5000 CPU web interface through the Zeus3 network. The Hercules CPU IP is 169.254.18.151 but it won't connect through my web browser.
Any thoughts?

I am suprised you are getting any data then.
Obviously confirm you have the Network port selected for GPS. Also check the raw data window.
It could also be worth deleting the H5000_config file in the data folder and replacing it with the one installed with Exp.
It is odd about the browser ...

Yes, double checked that the GPS is selected for Network 0 B&G Websocket.
There is a stream of data coming in at the raw data window, though I am not what it all means.

Which H5000_config file should I try deleting?
I see there is a H5000_config.xml file in the Program Data>Expedition>Instruments folder.

Hey Murray, Long time no speak,
The other thing to try is can you get the GPS data from the Zeus? I am sure I have done that before to get myself out of trouble. If you have the Zeus set up to send data over 0183, you can connect expedition to it via wifi. I know this works for AIS, so assuming it would work for all data. It might get you going until someone can give you a proper solution.
The IP address of the CPU sounds wrong as I thought they were all locked to 192.168.1.2. Someone smarter then me will need to chime in of that.

Yes, that h5000_config file.
That text file just has an error message. Maybe you are getting other data from elsewhere.

Hi Lockie, yep been a while. The Zeus is setup to send data over 0183 and the GPS output sentence boxes are checked, but not getting GPS over Wifi.
I thought that the IP address was strange too, but that's what is shows as the sailing processor CPU IP address 169.254.18.151
Nick, I have no hard wire connect, just the Wifi connected to Zeus3S 87fd. Would it make a difference because I was getting the data as a Hotspot? The Zeus is connected to the internet and I can access internet through the Zeus connection to the Starlink. When I turn the Hotspot off I loose the connection even though the Built-in WiFi box is ticked.

I have given up on using the WIFi and I have connected to the H5000 with a LAN cable. All data coming through including position and can access the H5000 web interface with the above IP address. Problem solved.

If you want to get AIS you will still need to get that from Zues over WIFI. You can normally have the ethernet plugged into the H5000 and connect to one of the zues to get AIS datal.
Glad it all worked out. Hopefully someone will chime in about the IP address, as I am curious to know.

I am not too worried about AIS on laptop as primary nav is on Zeus and Expedition is just for routing on this occasion, but thanks.

I was able to get Zues and H500 on shared lan with a switch.
