I know its sacrilege and I will wash my mouth out with soap 
.... but the offshore predict wind link to the Exec is very robust and quick - we used nothing like the amount of data we thought we would and then could use the gribs downloaded in expedition. Iridiums email app was pants last year but about to buy some data and so will be enquiring if its any better yet

Good to know that your Exec data link is working well. But ...
Bruce is voice mail working for you? Working vmail is a requirement for some races.

will have a working sim mid month so will try then.... we were very stingy with data and use last year so cant remember if the voicemail worked sorry

I have my Exec working and set up a profile for Sailmail, but have concerns about Exp. Does anyone have profile settings for that? If Glasswire is the solution, which version? Pac Cup is rapidly approaching, and I'd like to get this working without burning through my data plan.

I'm running a late version of Glasswire. Setup an offshore profile, Ask To Connect, enable Host Process for Windows Services (for DNS etc.), enable Expedition, enable whatever other apps you are using. The Exec is set to Allow All for Data Profile. So Glasswire is providing all the firewall functions. I'll probably also set the Exec to only allow specific devices (notably the Expedition PC) to connect to it. Got to make sure nobody onboard is trying to play cat videos and running up the Iridium bill.

FYI might be useful for some. Both my service provider and Iridium confirmed that voice mail waiting indication is not working properly on the Exec. Triggered by that, I also tested our Go! and 9555 and they also seem to have the same problem. Fix is in the works but no ETA. Check your Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions ... this might impact your ability to satisfy race requirements. Cheers.
