Damping

Can you explain me, what's mathematically behind the damping of values?

Re: Damping

May I add something to this question:

Under "settings / channels" you are able to set damping for various (not all !) channels.
Is the damping you set for a specific channel only applied to that specific channel or does it 'cascade' to channels that are calculated using that channel?

Example:
Is any damping you apply to BSP also used in the calculation of TWS or is the calculation of TWS always using the 'raw' (undamped) BSP channel data?

Re: Damping

The standard damping weights to the latest.
There is a box-car option. I think this was introduced for the AC where the rules required it.
Damping isn't relevant for some channels such as layline time. For such channels, Exp does use the damped inputs.
