This looks really good, congrats on your work! Now I just have to get an Android Gear watch to check it out!
If there is interest on the Forum I can create a separate section just for this (Like I have for NMEARemote and Ventus)

Thanks!
This is the watch I am using which works great.

Nice Work Shane. I don't know much about Android Wear 2.0. A couple of questions:
I guess the connection is via Bluetooth?
Can you have one to many: ie multiple watches receiving data?
Are you able to send the udp via wifi if you have a wifi watch?
Thanks,
Will

Hi Will
Connection is via wifi with the data being transmitted by udp so you can connect as many watches as you wish. Its a standalone app so does not require any smartphone, just connects direct to the yachts wifi. I am pretty sure wifi comes standard with any smartwatch running android wear 2.0.

looks nice, but that watch is only IP67 - showering is probably okay, but swimming is probably not.
i'm pretty sure i would forget to take it off and ruin it.

I have added a link to the software section on the Exp instruments page.

Yip, Ticwatch only has IP67 but thats good enough for me as well as its the cheapest option I think.
The Casio Pro Trek WSD-F20 and the Nixon Mission both have wifi and are running android wear 2.0 so will be compatible. The new balance runIQ ( ) might be a good option as well. Not too expensive and has a higher water proofing.
Here is a list of compatible devices.
