A gentle introduction to Expedition.

I would love to see that chapter! I didn't think a gentle introduction was possible.

Please and thank you.  Where do I pre-order?

Cheers

Re: Recommended Reading

As a new user on a steep learning curve: The program was written by and for experts, and piercing the veil takes more than effort, it takes evolving  knowledge of what questions to ask, hence the "two years" to learn.

An intro for the non-specialist navigator would be very helpful.

On a smaller boat, there may not be a dedicated navigator, and some ability to describe how to pre-setup; and then execute so that a minimally familiar person can select a course, set to active, ping marks while the owner drives would be helpful. Many of the features are there, and once you know where/how become more obvious.

Whether that's an opportunity for Ventus to build into a "read only" interface is another question.

Addressing how to transfer information between Exp and instruments would be good Sub chapters: B&G H5000 <-> Exp data, waypoints/course, start line etc.

Re: Recommended Reading

And a great time to remind Will (again); a lot of us would love to see the book in hard cover!!  The Kindle version is great but it's just not the same IMHO

One great chapter would be: What those error messages really mean
