B&G H5000

Can someone explain what the upwind angle and down angle calibration values are for - upwind angle 165 per the following article; https://www.blur.se/2018/06/05/bg-h5000-kalibrering/

So they are the wind angles to tell it what calibration values to use.

So if you sailing between 0-65 it will use upwind. In theory if you put your upwind and down wind Vmg targets in there you should be pretty good. I tend to make it a bit wider though as you might be sailing 10 degrees lower then your target in a big sea state but you still want to be using the upwind cal number.

Well at least that’s my understanding of it.

Edit: I just relooked at the example table. No idea why it’s say 165. That seems like a huge number. At the most I would set it to would be 65 (depending on the boat)
