ETA ?

In another thread post it was suggested that ETA was only available if you have boat speed from your instruments.

For some reason I have not been able to to get boat speed from my instruments, I'm not getting all of the NMEA outputs for some reason.

But, why cant you use the GPS speed instead?  That would seem to give you a better ETA than boat speed because it is speed over bottom and compensates for current.

Ideas?

Expedition calcs > use SOG if BSP not available

ETA takes into account different wind angles etc on the route for end of route ETA, so needs to be with the polar.

For GPS based time to the active mark, use 'Mark GPS time' in a number box.
