H5000 and Expedition .. Pin layout Hlink

Yesterday I installed a H5000 Hercules system.

I tried to read as much posts as I can find and so far my conclusion is that:
Hercules (probably) should have Hlink
Hlink is THE way for Expedition to communicate with the H5000
So alas it means a serial connection.

However .. Normal rs232 connections are pin 2&3 and 7.
As far as I can see . You can only use the nmea1 or 2 ports for this?
There it sais sensor a tx &rx and sensor b tx&rx.
So what do I use .. There is no info whatsoever on the B&G site.

What is the difference between Hydra and Hlink?

Why can we not talk with the H5000 over the ethernet port?

Re: H5000 and Expedition .. Pin layout Hlink

The solution was actually very simple.H5000 is not RS232 but RS422. I bought the new Actisence USG-2 usb to RS422 converter.. Attached the cables in the most logical way .. and up and running. the USG-2 is considerable smaller and as usual with Actisense.. it is spot on. As I already use the NGT-1 on my windows 10 Surface pro I did not have to install any driver. Plug and play!!
