Far Out Optimiazation
I performed an optimization today and it sent me a few hundred miles off course. I'd send a snapshot of the course, but the forum won't let me post the image. Any thoughts on what might have gone wrong?

I now receive the following messages when I attempt to optimize.
Unable to complete optimal routing. Possible reasons include:
The wind forecast does not cover the area or time required
The wind filters don't allow routing to proceed,
The Isochronal algorith cannot leave marks to port or starboard.
Any assistance on what I may have done wrong are appreciated.

A few things to try:
When you outline your WX selection make it much bigger than the Route
once your wx is downloaded hit the Now button on the wx tab and make sure you see wx
on the optimal tab look at Settings/Opt Advanced and make sure all your settings look reasonable
on the Optimal tab tick Grid Based OR edit your marks so they are Sail to vs Keep to Stbd
Once you get it to work you can play with these settings, one at a time, and see what happens.
