Expedition Navigation Software

See Sailing is log analysis software implemented on the web and with a really kinda lush 3d view of what's going on. It was designed for the inshore racing world but offshore racing seem to have taken to it too.
It does (basically):
* Filter and display of the data.
* A 'ribbon' shows how the mast moved through the air and where you sailed slow.
* A second ribbon shows the wind strength and direction, plus whether or not you were on the biased tack.
* The usual velocity arrows, windward line etc.
* Tack/gybe loss analysis.
* Graphs of the relevant bits of data for each leg.
* Actually documented and stuff.
It's been around for about a year and I've not been great at getting visibility, uptake etc. so I've put it onto "freeplay" for now. IE you can use it without money. It imports Expedition logs really well and I'd say about half the data on the whole thing has come from Expedition.
So, ahhh, please give it a go! Tell your mates etc. And definitely let me know what part of "the point" I'm missing.
I'm also making a Bluetooth gateway - primarily for use with a mobile phone as a capture method.
I imagine everyone here has the laptop attached to the boat somehow, but let me know if there's interest in a PC driver for a Bluetooth gateway ... it would most likely expose raw NMEA 2000 messages over a localhost socket.

Thanks, cheers, and please have a go with my software!

I spent a while playing with it last night. Interesting visuals and useful data. The process for pulling data from Expedition is very straightforward. Ill try it for some race analysis after the season starts next week.
