Generally not necessary to include it, especially since are so short and can be random lengths, and removed in the case of a course change. I personally just remove XXs in my head from the next leg layline times when there is an offset mark that looks XXs long. And as for the angle, the RC may tell you at 90 or 100 deg etc, and quick mental check on course axis vs TWD at the top will indicate if an early hoist is on the cards.
